				Hi,

In the 8/5/05 puzzle:

                                 000 508 496

                                 080 090 30#

                                 900 304 100

                                  067 000 000

                                  200 000 007

                                  000 000 560

                                  005 701 003

                                  008 020 710

                                  701 803 000

I put in the 9 in row 1 column 8 and also the 7 in Row 8 column 7. When i asked for a hint. I was given 5 for # (Row 2 Column 9) I cannot figure out how this was arrived at. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance. Jay Kay |

				| If you look at box 2(r1c4-r3c6), 2 HAS to go in row 2. The 2 at r8c5 prevents 2 from being able to fit in at r1c5 and r3c5. So you can eliminate 2 from other cells in row 2. So even though r2c9 CAN be {2,5}, you can eliminate 2 and get a 5 in that cell. |
