I may have gone wrong here but surely Clement's 'after basics' comes out
with simple basics after the naked pair 69 in column 8 makes r4c8 a 4?
In fact I couldn't get the 4 out of r7c8 as above.

But Clement's solution works as does a 146 XYZ after my basics (having
also removed the 4 from r1c9) and a W wing on 46s- but have I gone
wrong somewhere? And it seemed such a simple puzzle today.....

I have 49 in r7c8. The 6 comes out because of the Locked Candidates in box 6. It looks like Clement's grid might have some sort of mechanical error.

ABCD is an X-wing on 9.
 XY-wings:
 EFG -169
 HFI -469
 FJK 67-9
 LKM -479
 FIC 46-9
 XYZ-wing ENI 14-6

I am too lazy to look for W- and M-wings.

				| Thanks Keith- so what you're saying if I've got this right is that the puzzle can be solved..........

(Thanks also to Marty - BTW has any VH puzzle beaten this one for the
 number of solutions?)

				| Hugh,
Yes. If you find all the wings you are probably on the correct path!

I do not recall ever seeing a puzzle with so many wings coexisting.
