I enjoyed finding a one step solution for this one today. (Helmut's VH today was too easy.)

Hey! I thought Clement would provide a solution, not the starting grid that I posted? What's up with that? (Did I make a mistake in the grid?)

No, you did not make a mistake. My aim was to make a printable version and after that delete it, I failed to delete the submission as I usually do. I am sorry for that, I will provide a solution. It is good puzzle Dongrave.

Two steps a chain and W-Wing
Code:

+-------------------------+-----------------------+----------------------+
| e26*      e269     1    | 8        d269     7   | 3        4       5   |
| 8          4      g25   | 1         3       25  | 67       67      9   |
| 3         f569     7    | 4         69      59  | 2        8       1   |
+-------------------------+-----------------------+----------------------+
| 7          6-2     2349 | 269       1       239 | 469      5       8   |
| j246       8       2349 | 2679      5       239 | 4679     1       27  |
| 5          1       29   | 2679      4       8   | 679      267     3   |
+-------------------------+-----------------------+----------------------+
| i4*-2      7       6    | 3         8       1   | 5        9       24  |
| 9         a25      8    | b25       7       4   | 1        3       6   |
| 1          3      h245  | 259      c29      6   | 8        27      247 |
+-------------------------+-----------------------+----------------------+

Step 1: (2)r8c2 = r8c4 - r9c5 = r1c5 - (2=6*9)r1c12 - (69=5)r3c2 - r2c3 = (5-4)r9c3 = (4*)r7c1 - (4*6*=2)r5c1 => - 2r4c2,r7c1
Code:
Opens the following Grid
+------------------+---------------------+----------------+
| 6     a29     1  | 8       2-9     7   | 3      4     5 |
| 8      4     b25 | 1       3       25  | 7      6     9 |
| 3      59     7  | 4       6       59  | 2      8     1 |
+------------------+---------------------+----------------+
| 7      6      34 | 29      1       239 | 49     5     8 |
| 2      8      34 | 6       5       39  | 49     1     7 |
| 5      1      9  | 7       4       8   | 6      2     3 |
+------------------+---------------------+----------------+
| 4      7      6  | 3       8       1   | 5      9     2 |
| 9      25     8  | 25      7       4   | 1      3     6 |
| 1      3     c25 | 259   d29       6   | 8      7     4 |
+------------------+---------------------+----------------+

Step 2: Wing on (29)r1c2,r9c5 with SL in col3
(9=2)r1c2 - r2c3 = r9c3 - (2=9)r9c5 = - 9r1c5; stte
There may be a better solution.

Thanks Clement! I found a one step solution. You want to see it? (I think I got the notation right.) Let me know if I screwed up the notation (or the entire solution!)
(5=2)r8c4-(2=679)r456c4-(9=23)r45c6-(2=5)r2c6-r2c3=r3c2=>r8c2<>5.

Yes, it is a good, better solution including the notation. Bravo!

Thanks Clement! You probably don't remember but I learned about chains w/ pincers on both ends a couple of years ago from you (Marty had to explain them to me!). They immediately became my favorite method of solving puzzles in one step.
