				| Took an extended absense from Daily Sudoku.  Recently have played the Very Hard puzzles and just wanted to post that I enjoy the site and appreciate the input on how others have solved puzzles.

 That doesn't make any direct eliminations, but solves the puzzle with transport of the pincer from r9c1 to r8c6. Is that what you had in mind?

				| No Marty that was not in my mind- I had just misread the puzzle! (very late- holiday cheer etc)  But I wish I had seen that- it's a sharp solution!

				| Also the short XY-Chain does it well. Either r9c7=5 or If r9c7=7,then r1c7=6, so r2c8=4, so r6c8=5; r7c8<>5.
