My solution doesn't meet the specs for the difficulty level, but I had plenty of fun!

UR 18; r9c5=2
finned X wing (1)r15c39=(1)r6c9; r5c8<>1
anp (37)r1c29=(1)r1c2 - (1=7)r6c2 - r6c9 = (7)r1c9; r1c5<>7=9

susume, I find that Danny is very forgiving about our solutions as long as we enjoy the puzzle.

Maybe I had to much wine last night and/or insufficient coffee this morning but I am unable to determine how you concluded that r9c5=2 given a UR18. I would appreciate some details.

Thanks...
Ted

Drat, I messed up on the basics. I wish the puzzle would just come out wrong when I do that so I know to start over. Sad

Susume, perhaps you just forgot to note the skyscraper(9) - which leaves a Type-1UR(18) - though Marty has it as a Type-2?

(Yawn), what else is new? I probably screw something up every other puzzle. Laughing

If you combine Marty's first two steps with my last two, it does come out right. My pass through the basics unfortunately included a couple of, ahem, inadvertantly correct placements. Embarassed
