				| I lost track of the number of XY wings I used to 'clean up' this puzzle before finding the one that cracked it (a 134 pivoted in R6C6). In terms of VH techniques, this was about a 5 stepper for me. I'm sure others will solve it much more efficiently. | |

				| Five-stepper here too, an XYZ, two XYs and two Skyscrapers. Obviously I missed something since Skyscrapers aren't one of the necessary VH moves. | |

				| Trying it on Draw/Play, I whittled it down to:
 XY-Wing (794); r4c8<>4
 Finned X-Wing; r2c3<>5
 XY-Wing (145); r3c2<>5

				| I used the XY-Wing 479 as mentioned by Marty, this opens a W-Wing 15(BOX 1&2) with strong link 5 in row 5 which solves it. | |

				| I am having trouble with this puzzle. I used several XY wings and an XYZ and I gradually ended up with what is shown below and am stuck. I tried to get a HINT and it indicated that a 5 should end up in C1R8. I do not see how to make this happen. I would appreciate some help. Many thanks,

				| Jeff,
Try the XY-Wing 14-45-15 pivoted in r6c1. After cleanup from that there is another XY-Wing which will explain the hint.

				| Thanks. I looked at that puzzle for quite awhile, but somehow missed that xy wing. Many thanks,
 Jeff
